About the Event

Fall is in full swing, and as we shift into this darker, colder time of the year, how can we support ourselves and the ones we love before, during, and after the immune system is weakened by cold or flu? Join Herbalist Colleen Bingham Solis for a discussion on the arc of an illness. You will learn how to identify the stages of a cold or flu; we will discuss the basic physiology and symptoms of these illnesses, as well as herbal preparations to strengthen and support the body throughout. We will demonstrate and bottle a herbal syrup and disucss dry herb blends.  You will leave with a helpful handout, as well as a dry herb blend which can be used for making tea or syrup.
